Meet our Veterinarian!

Dr. Julie Whipple, DVM, was born in Worcester, MA, and lived for 23 years in Guatemala, where her mother was from. She received her Veterinary training at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala. After returning to the United States 22 years ago, Dr. Whipple worked for 12 years in private practice with Rotterdam Veterinary Hospital, before becoming the shelter and spay/neuter Veterinarian for the Animal Protective Foundation in Scotia. Dr. Whipple was employed with the A.P.F. for 7 years prior to joining HOPE. She has one son Rob, who is 26; 3 dogs (2 weiners, as she calls them, and a border collie mix) and 2 cats. In her free time Dr. Whipple enjoys watching baseball and is a HUGE Yankee fan, and is an avid reader.
